Billy Crudup, playing the role of Cory Ellison in "The Morning Show", received an Emmy for best supporting actor. This is the third prize won by "The Morning Show". Earlier the series also received the Critics Choice Award (also for the supporting role of Billy Crudup) and the Screen Actors Guild (for Jennifer Aniston for the leading role). The series also had three nominations for the prestigious Golden Globes, but it failed to win in any category.

Apple has already commissioned the second season of "The Morning Show" and extended the contract with its author - Kerry Ehrin (formerly known for "Bates Motel", "Parenthood" and "Friday Night Lights"). According to the original assumptions, the premiere of the new episodes was to take place in November this year. However, this deadline will probably not be met, because in March the production of the series had to be suspended due to COVID-19.
