John Turturro will play in Apple's new series "Severance"
Apple is constantly working on expanding the list of titles available in the Apple TV+ directory. One of the new series currently being developed for this service is "Severance". As Variety reports, John Turturro has just joined the cast of this production.
The series "Severance" will be a thriller telling the story of employees of Lumen Industries, a company trying to set new standards of work life balance. John Turturro, known for his "Barton Fink", "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" and the upcoming new version of "Batman", will play an employee with years of experience. The series will also feature Adam Scott ("Parks and Recreation"), who will play the main character, and Patricia Arquette (Oscar winner for her role in "Boyhood"), who will play the head of Lumen Industries.
"Severance" will be directed by Ben Stiller, so far associated mainly with comedies (e.g. "Tropic Thunder", "Zoolander" and "There's Something About Mary"). Dan Erickson will be responsible for the script. Red Hour Productions and Endeavor Content are also involved in the series' work. Like most of the other series currently being created for Apple TV+, "Serverance" does not yet have even an approximate release date planned.
