Warhammer is a popular series of games including "paper" RPG systems, figurative battle games and various computer games. Studio Virtual Realms is working on a new game for iOS, entitled Warhammer: Odyssey, set in this universe.

Warhammer: Odyssey will be a network MMORPG taking place in the so-called Old World - one of the most popular lands in the Warhammer world, modelled on medieval Europe. Players will take on the role of heroes fighting the forces of chaos. By creating their own character they will be able to choose between three races (people, dwarves and elves), each of which will have a choice of one of two professions (people - priest or witch hunter, dwarves - warrior or engineer, elves - mage or archer). Each class will also have two specializations, offering different sets of special skills. The creators of the game have not yet revealed too many details about the game's mechanics, but everything seems to indicate that it will not differ too much from other popular MMORPGs currently available in the App Store.

Exact release date Warhammer: Odyssey has not yet been disclosed. However, it is already known that it will be a freemium game, available for free download but offering micropayments. The developers have assured us that they do not intend to include any elements that would give an advantage to paying players, and for real money it will be possible to buy only cosmetic accessories. They also announced that Warhammer: Odyssey will receive regular free updates, introducing new content such as items, locations or quests.
