Tomb Raider is a popular series of arcade action games about the adventures of archaeologist Lara Croft. Square Enix announced yesterday that a new version for iOS devices, entitled Tomb Raider Reloaded, will soon appear in their release catalog.

The creators of Tomb Raider Reloaded have not yet revealed much detail about it. All we know is that it will be an arcade action game available for free download (which clearly suggests the presence of micropayments). Both the title and the first official trailer of the game also clearly indicate that it will refer to the classic first installments of the series, offering fans of familiar opponents, locations, weapons and costumes of the main character.

The exact release date of Tomb Raider Reloaded has not been revealed yet, but it is already known that the game will appear in the App Store next year.
